It will be the second time an FA Cup tie involving Cheltenham has been broadcast live, following the fourth round tie against Newcastle United at Whaddon Road in 2005/06, which was on the BBC.
Cheltenham have a poor recent record against Hereford, who suffered relegation out of the Football League last season.

They have not beaten them at home since the 1960s and in eight previous FA Cup meetings, Cheltenham have only emerged triumphant on one occasion (1946).
Hereford have five former Robins players on their books in Andy Gallinagh, Marley Watkins, Brian Smikle, Michael Townsend and Marlon Jackson.
The winners of the match will receive £27,000 in prize money as well as a potentially even more lucrative tie in the third round, as the Premier League and Championship clubs enter the competition.

“It's true our recent record as been poor against the Bulls, however with this lot in the side Andy Gallinagh, Marley Watkins, Brian Smikle, Michael Townsend and Marlon Jackson.
with Robin's current squad we should be through to the 3rd round...on the other hand this is The Cup!
So come on the first Team, put the reserves and rejects to the sword...COYR”
