Cheltenham Town: Shrews move for Summerfield?
CHELTENHAM Town midfielder Luke Summerfield is weighing up a move to League One newboys Shrewsbury Town.
The Echo understands the out-of-contract 24-year-old has held talks with Shrews boss Graham Turner, who guided the club to a first promotion in 15 years last season.

He is set to turn down the offer of an extended deal with Cheltenham to switch to the higher level after one season at the Abbey Business Stadium.
Summerfield spent time on trial at Shrewsbury last summer after leaving hometown club Plymouth Argyle.

He featured in a friendly victory over a Manchester United XI, but was not offered terms at the Greenhous Meadow and arrived at Cheltenham, where he impressed immediately and earned a one-year deal.
Regarded as a consummate professional, Summerfield's performances in the centre of the pitch earned him the players' player of the year award last term.
He made 47 starts and four substitute appearances, scoring six goals, including spectacular efforts in wins at Bristol Rovers and Dagenham and Redbridge.
His father Kevin finished his playing career at Shrewsbury and is also a former coach of the Shropshire club.
If Summerfield does depart, it will be a blow for Mark Yates, who was desperate to keep a player who made up part of what the Robins boss regarded as the best midfield three in League Two, along with Marlon Pack and Russ Penn.
Pack, 21 and with another year to run on his contract, is thought to be attracting attention from League One clubs and at least one Championship side, but it will take a substantial fee to prise him away.
Goalkeeper Scott Brown has agreed a new two-year deal and central defensive pair Steve Elliott and Harry Hooman have signed up for another season.
Yates is still waiting for confirmation from skipper Alan Bennett, Keith Lowe, Jeff Goulding and Bagasan Graham.
All four are expected to commit their futures to the club in the coming weeks.
â The npower League Two fixture list for the 2012/13 season are released at 9am today.

“If Summers is being promised a regular place in the Shrews 1st 11, his future at Chelt could be in jepardy. If he will just be a squad player, then we may have a chance.
This is the risk you take when signing players on 1 yr deals - thou PB / MY prob weren't to know how good a season Summers would have, after his previous season at Plymouth.
C'mon Summers - Chelt rescued you career somewhat, sign for 2 yrs + you can always re-assess after next season. Age is on your side.”
