Chris Zebroski in action for Cheltenham Town
It was the fourth time this season he has been absent and boss Mark Yates held a meeting with the 26-year-old at the Abbey Business Stadium this morning.
Zebroski scored six goals in 22 starts and two substitute appearances for Cheltenham.

Yates paid an undisclosed fee for his services, handing him a two-year deal.
He said the move had "not worked out" and Zebroski is now a free agent, permitting him to join another club during this month's transfer window.
"We're parting on good terms and after a discussion with Chris it was agreed that a move was the best thing for all concerned," Yates said.
"I think we all accept that the move didn't work out - sometimes these things happen in football - and we wish him all the best for the future."
Yates will now set about freshening up his squad ahead of the second half of the campaign.
"I will be looking to do that from next week," he said.
"In the meantime all our focus us on the Everton match on Monday night."
* Midfielder Jake Taylor has extended his loan spell from Reading to a second month and will be in the Robins squad to face Everton.

“Not necessarily Craig. If the player was too ill to attend a drugs test, then I think they are allowed to miss the test.”

“Wasn't there a recent article on TIG about how settled he was at CTFC and how happy he was here?
More drivel then?!!”

“As others have said, a waste of a half decent lower leaguer. Perhaps lessons should have been learnt from well documented earlier misdeads? Surely the word gets about among managers? Barge poles won't be long enough now.”

“I would think rumours of missed drugs tests are rubbish, CheltRobin, otherwise he would have had a Rio Ferdinand style lengthy ban.”

“A wasted talent, he has been given more than his fair share of chances. What club would want to take a chance this waster. He is likely to end up in serious trouble if he can't sort his life out.”

“Certainly no surprise to me from what I've heard from other fans. There have been rumours of drink and substance abuse, missed drugs tests and now this incident from New Year's Eve. Shame as actually chris had a decent first half of the season, but after being spoken to by PB and MY on previous occasions, it was obvious that his head wasn't right and that he really wasn't committed to the club. In this instance, the club really had no option and did what they needed to do. What a waste of a fairly talented footballer.”
