The Robins have started their league campaign with three consecutive victories and they carried that form into the Cup, opening the scoring after just four minutes.
Dawson was the provider, with Haden finishing clinically.
Haden had already nodded wide from Donaldson's cross in the opening minute after a Dawson throw-in.
She was celebrating again in the 21st minute, capitalising on a goalkeeping error from Pen Mill's last line of defence.
Donaldson added the third in the 32nd minute after fine play from Lydia Amarquaye on the left and two minutes later Griffin slammed a shot into the roof of the net to make it 4-0.
Amarquaye set up Donaldson for her second in the final minute of the first half, with Cheltenham in complete control and playing some neat, passing football.
Dawson's spectacular effort came three minutes after the break after a pass from Catherine Reilly, with the right-back bursting inside and smashing a shot into the top right corner from 25 yards.
Pen Mill were reduced to 10 players by an injury and for a spell in the second half they only had nine with another player hobbling off before returning.
Donaldson completed her treble in the 52nd minute with a powerful finish after Griffin's corner hit Katie Walker in the face and fell in the box.
Haden saw a shot blocked and Griffin blazed wide with the goal gaping, but it was not long before she found the net again in the 59th minute.
Dawson set up Reilly, who hit the bar and Haden followed up and struck the woodwork again as somehow the ball stayed out.
The scoring was completed in the 87th minute when Griffin finished at the near post after racing onto a through ball.
