SAM Deering is confident he has done enough to earn a birthday bonus from Cheltenham Town manager Mark Yates.
The midfielder turns 22 today and after a bright substitute appearance against Accrington Stanley on Saturday he is on course to start tonight's match at Fleetwood Town.

"I was pleased with the impact I made when I went on and the gaffer just told me to play off the two strikers and show what I could do and that's where I came here to play," Deering said.
"After a bit of movement down the side I got the foul and Carts (Darren Carter) has put in a great ball which Marlon has done magnificently to get his head to and equalise.
"I am confident I will play at Fleetwood and it's another chance for me to show what I can do and good for me to get back into the team.
"I want a run hopefully, not just a couple of games in the side and then back out again.
"You want to win every game, but when it's on your birthday it's always a bit more special."
Deering has started only nine of Cheltenham's 34 League Two matches this season since joining from Barnet last July.
While he has not featured as much as he would have liked, the little Londoner believes there is still enough time this season to have a big say.
"It's been quite good this season and we are not where we want to be, but we are still in there fighting for it," he said.
"It has been a bit up and down for me, being in and out of the team and not involved at times, which has been disappointing, but when you get your chance, you have got to take it.
"We have 12 games left and that is a lot of games and as they tick down you find out which teams want it the most.
"My aim is to get into the team and play every game, helping us get back where we should be, in the top three."
Deering is one of the loudest players in the squad off the pitch, leading much of the dressing room banter.
Whether he is making his team-mates laugh, or simply annoying them, there is never a dull moment.
"We have to keep it as fun as we can and I gave Mo (Kaid Mohamed) a haircut on the Accrington overnighter," he said.
"I've always been lively and love buzzing around, although I've been banned from making my usual noise on the team coach!"
