BURGLAR Jason Lee Turner has been jailed for almost two years after conning his way inside an elderly lady's home and breaking into a flat.
The 39-year-old used a hammer to force his way inside a flat in Overton Road, Cheltenham, at around 1.50pm on January 8, where he stole a PS3 computer console, a black Dell laptop and a Nokia mobile.

Around 10 minutes later he called at the home of an 82-year-old woman, also on Overton Road, and claimed to be a council worker sent to check gas pipes.
The woman let him inside and he searched a number of rooms in the house before she became suspicious and questioned him over his identification, at which point he left. Nothing was reported stolen.
