Arson has not been ruled out by police investigating a fire at a Cheltenham flat which left a man and three children in need of hospital treatment.

Officers say they are working to find out the cause of the blaze, which was reported at a flat in Hobart House, Princess Elizabeth Way, in the early hours of this morning.

The building was evacuated and a man and three children were taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. They were released a while later.

The occupants of the rest of the building were able to return to their homes.
