Cheltenham photographer shoots Dermot O'Leary's wedding

PHOTOGRAPHER Robin Bradshaw has proved he has the X Factor when it comes to taking pictures.

Robin, who runs Bullit Photography in Oxford Street, Cheltenham, was asked by presenter Dermot O'Leary to take the official snaps at his wedding.

The 39-year-old star of the ITV talent show married his long-term partner Dee Koppang last week.

And Robin was chosen by the couple ahead of four London-based photographers who had been shortlisted to do the honours.

"I was thrilled to be chosen to photograph their wedding, but then I'm always thrilled when I'm chosen by any couple," he said.

"I love what I do and the part I like most is recording the best day of someone's life. To me they are just another couple celebrating their special day."

The couple had discussed their celebrity status with Robin before the big day and told him they were keen to keep the day as a private celebration between friends and family members.

As such they decided to release one image of the wedding to the press with the caveat that anyone who used it should make a donation to the church.

Robin said: "Even though we were releasing in lieu of a charitable donation, there were still a lot of press photographers around.

"I got Dermot and Dee to pose in front of the St Mary's Church gates and then we all headed off to Chiddingstone Castle for the reception."

The wedding's guest list was star studded and featured the likes of One Direction's Harry Styles, TV presenter Holly Willoughby and BBC Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton.

Meanwhile, James Corden arrived at the celebrations in a helicopter with Julia Carey, who he married just a couple of days later.

The day was capped off by a spectacular fireworks display.

It was not Robin's first celebrity wedding of the year, having already taken the photographs at Holby City and Waterloo Road actress Jade Johnson's ceremony and the wedding of former footballer turned pundit Andy Gray.

The photographer set up his business in Cheltenham eight years ago.

He currently shoots around 50 weddings a year in the UK and abroad.
