Cheltenham's Fashion and Beauty week is going to be FAB
It's the fashion event on everyone's lips this spring. Fashion and Beauty in Cheltenham is back for its second year and the line-up is bigger and better than ever.
Over seven days from April 15-21, the town will be transformed into a mecca for fashionistas with three cutting-edge fashion shows to inspire us all for the new season.
Local retailers already signed up to appear on the catwalks include national brands such as Hobbs, Joules, Warehouse, Oasis and Marks & Spencer together with independent boutiques Verite Louise, Sandra Dee, MeMeMe and Cotswold designers Barrington Ayre and Melissa Antonious.
In an exciting exclusive, international fashion designer Masato, from Tokyo, who has worked with Giles Deacon, will be showcasing his new collections at the black tie Talk of the Town event on Friday, April 19. Masato studied women's fashion design at Central Saint Martins and joined Giles Deacon where he helped to found the GILES brand before launching his own label two years ago.

Following the success of last year's Fashion Week, organised by the Gloucestershire Echo and supported by Cheltenham Borough Council, the show producers once again are Brian Brown & Jasmin who have a cast of 30 professional models ready to grace the catwalks.
Choreographer and dancer Thomas Ashton has also been signed up to work with Brian Brown & Jasmin on the shows.
Local hair salons Blushes and Cream will be creating some fantastic styles for the catwalks and the make-up team at Benefit at Boots will put together the fresh looks for the Fashion Rebellion show on Saturday, April 20 where younger followers of fashion will be able to mingle among pop-up fashion pods, graffiti artists and two fashionable bars, one for under-18s and an adult VIP G'Lounge area styled by Dwell.
Tickets cost £5 and will be available on the door on the night.
FAB project director Hayley Anderson-Dixon says: "Our audiences can be assured that this year's shows will be even more glamorous and spectacular than last year with a touch of theatrical drama and dance added into the mix.
"Whether you are ladies who lunch, or you like to get dressed up to the nines and enjoy a night out with friends, or you are a follower of fashion and being on-trend and in-vogue is your focus, we have something for everyone.
"From the beautiful Art Deco surroundings of The Daffodil where the venue lends itself perfectly to our Timeless Style fashion show and lunch on Thursday April 18, to the glitz and glamour of Cheltenham's Town Hall which will host our Talk of the Town Black Tie Dinner and Fashion Show on Friday April 19 – this is an amazing opportunity for all out, over the top glamour and to walk the red carpet."
Tickets to the Ladies' Lunch Fashion Show, Timeless Style, at The Daffodil on Thursday, April 18, cost £30 and are available directly from the restaurant on 01242 700055.
Tickets to the Talk of the Town Fashion Show and Black Tie Dinner at Cheltenham Town Hall on Friday, April 19, cost £55 including a three-course dinner. Call the Town Hall box office on 0844 5762210.
There are still a number of opportunities for fashion and beauty businesses to take part in this year's FAB event, from holding in-store events and offering discounts during the week to getting involved in the three major catwalk shows.
