Cheltenham traffic lights due to be turned off
Traffic lights in Cheltenham town centre were due to be turned off this morning in a three week traffic trial.
Highways bosses agreed to a test where lights in St Margaret's Road were turned off to see how it effected rush hour traffic.
The lights were still on at 7.15am this morning.
Temporary islands and extra signs will be introduced to ensure road users are aware of the new layout.
Gents, come in to Earl's & Co and enjoy a haircut and finish, glass of whisky and a shoeshine for £18.50

The long awaited trial, managed by Cheltenham Development Taskforce, Gloucestershire County Council and Cheltenham Borough Council, will assess junction efficiency.
It was scheduled to be carried out last month, but postponed while Severn Trent Water carried out emergency sewer works in Bath Road.
