Chimney fire in Cirencester Hotel
A CHIMNEY fire in a Cotswolds hotel last night forced fire fighters to be on scene for nearly an hour.
Fire fighters were called to Barnsley House Hotel in Cirencester around 7.44pm yesterday following reports of a chimney on fire.

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service
One fire engine from Cirencester fire station, together with five fire fighters and watch commander O'Leary were at the scene for about 45 minutes as they put out the fire.
The fire service attends about 300 chimney fires per year and has released advice on preventing such fires at http://www.glosfire.gov.uk/ysafety_h_chimney.html.
