Jobless mum-of-11 Heather Frost says she'll demand an even bigger house if she doesn't like the Tewkesbury 'mansion' that is being built for her.

The Churchdown mum's plans to move into a super council house were exclusively revealed by The Citizen yesterday and have since hit the national headlines.

And last night the 37-year-old told The Sun: "It's being built especially for me. If I go there and I say to them I don't like it or it's too small, then they will just have to build me a bigger one won't they?

"It was my choice to have 11 children, I don't believe in abortion. I think it's a waste of taxpayers' money."

Her demands for a new house come after her five-year 'nightmare' of living in two council houses in Innsworth Lane, Churchdown, that were knocked together to accommodate her brood.

Now Tewkesbury Borough Council have sold a plot of land at Northway Lane, in Tewkesbury, for a knock-down price of £210,000 to housing provider Severn Vale.

They are building Heather's new six-bedroom 1,850 sq ft house.

The two-storey eco-home is being custom built for her and is already being valued at £400,000 with its 355 sq ft kitchen and dining area and three bathrooms.

Yesterday, the grandmother hit back at people who criticise her for having 11 children.

"Some other mums have called me a **** but I love all of my children. I'd love to have more kids if I could," she told The Citizen.

But Heather is now sterile after battling cervical cancer in 2011.

And about her housing situation, she said: "It was meant to be for four months but we've been here for five years now.

"It is a nightmare because you can't keep an eye on the children in the other house and there's only one door between them which is a fire risk.

"I've got the older children living over there while I am with the younger ones in this house."

Forking out for two electricity and two gas bills will come to an end when she moves into the new property in July. Her energy bills will be slashed thanks to a special, enviornmentally-friendly design.

Taxpayer group were left outraged by the news.

Robert Oxley, campaign manager at the TaxPayers' Alliance, said: "It's scandalous that so much time and money is being spent on one custom built mansion. Many people can't afford to buy their own home, but have to opt for what their budget allows.

"Benefits are there to help those who need support, not subsidise a lifestyle that most people paying for them could not afford themselves."

But councillor Derek Davies, lead member for built environment, said: "This is a great example of how we work with housing providers to ensure affordable housing is provided for all our residents' housing needs."

Judith Tector, operations director for Severn Vale Housing, said: "The properties have not yet all been allocated so if you're interested ensure you're register with Gloucestershire Homeseekers which will allow you to bid."

“Why dont the council spend a substantially smaller amount of money and remove the dividing walls in her present house to make it more suitable then they would not need to move.”

“Sunnny - These are other questions you have omitted to answer from another page too. I've copied and pasted it to make things easy for you (and me):

    Sunnnny - Several points:
    1. "I should hope they aren't working if they are living in a council funded property!" - Again, does this statement apply to all people who live in council funded property?
    2. "Middle class families can do what they like for all I care, they aren't receiving state handouts, what a strange comparison to make! - Are you sure middle class families do not receive state hand outs (i.e. benefits of any kind)?
    3. "I don't really care what families who pay their way do with their adult children" - What are you saying? Are you implying you DO care what families do with their adult children if they get support from the state?
    4. Again, where did it state the adult children didn't work?

I got to say, you don't appear to be very good at this do you? Please don't take that as an insult. What I mean is that you appear to have difficulty in constructing a valid debate and backing up your comments”
