From a Chris Taylor free-kick the home defence failed to deal with a bouncing ball and Jamie Prictor reacted quickly to beat Alex Harris with a smart finish.

Fielden retaliated with a fine centre met firmly by Lewis Sommers, but Kent Kauppinen made a superb point-blank stop.

The Finnish keeper again foiled Sommers with a good save as the giant striker rose to meet Dave Bird's centre

Cinderford lost centre-back Andy Lewis early in the second half with a hamstring injury, Ashley Malcolm coming on in his place.

Josh Parsons wasted the chance to extend the visitors' lead when having charged down Harris's clearance he screwed his shot wide.

Harris then dived bravely at the feet of Ashley Edenborough to deny the in-form striker as Swindon pressed.

Back came Cinderford and Sommers skilfully created space for himself but the big man shot straight at Kauppinen.

Dale Evans was unlucky to see his drive hit the woodwork but Cinderford couldn't force an equaliser.

Near the end Greg Lewis bravely blocked a well-struck Prictor effort and a combination of Harris and Warren Archer managed to keep out Edenborough as he sought a second Swindon goal.
