Cinderford man recovering in hospital after collision near Minsterworth
EMERGENCY services cut a man out of his car and rushed him to hospital in a life-threatening condition early yesterday.
Drivers using the A48 at Minsterworth faced long delays during morning rush hour as blue light crews were called to the scene.
A black Vauxhall Vectra and blue Vauxhall Astra collided at about 6.10am.
The man was cut from one of the cars by the fire service and taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in a critical state.

The A48 at Minsterworth near to the Highnam roundabout and Oakle Street was closed for almost five hours.
The road was re-opened in both directions by 10.45am after the conclusion of a collision investigation.
A 43-year-old Cinderford man who was rescued from the scene suffered serious chest and leg injuries.
His condition status was later downgraded to non-life threatening as he continues his recovery in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
Anyone who witnessed the crash but has not spoken to police should call 101, quoting incident 46 of September 13.
