Having completed degrees in International Business, the 35-year-old mother-of-one from Cirencester set her sights on taking her law exams before her career as a horse rider ended.
During the past five years, she has studied at the Bristol Institute of Law while continuing her business as a horse trainer.
And after years of hard work, she is now undertaking a two-year training contract for Rickerby's law firm in Cheltenham.
She said: "I gave myself 10 years to complete all my ambitions as a horse rider before doing something else.
"A lot of my friends were involved in law so it has been something I have always had an interest in. I wasn't going straight from the stable to the office. I wanted to do something new, that was going to challenge me."
As part of her training, she is now undertaking her own projects in her new job. Combining her previous career with the new, she said she wanted to move into a field of law that includes both equine and agriculture – two areas she already has a lot of experience in.
She added: "It is something I have wanted to do for a long time now – to merge the two.
"I would love to be able to link both careers and be able to make use of the contacts I have developed.
"It's brilliant just to be around people that are clearly excellent experts in all areas of the law. This is a new challenge for me and I am loving it."
