Cirencester sexual assault victim urged to contact police

A SEXUAL assault victim is being urged to come forward after she was attacked in Cirencester.

Police are appealing for the woman victim to contact them following the assault, which took place in Cricklade Street between 2.30am and 2.45am on Sunday.

CCTV recorded a man grabbing the woman's bottom as she was getting into a taxi outside Clinton Cards and Phones 4U.

The suspected attacker is described as white, between 50 and 60 years old and around 5ft 8ins tall.

He had short, cropped ginger hair and a grey handlebar moustache, and had a black eye on the right side.

There are distinctive star tattoos on his left and right earlobes.

He was wearing a black jacket, tan suede waistcoat, black silky shirt, dark blue jeans, black boots, and large gold rings on his fingers.

A police spokesman said officers are concerned the man may have assaulted other women.

Police want to hear from the victim and anyone who may have come into contact with the man on the night.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation should call police on 101, quoting incident 54 of February 10.
