UP until a few years ago, whoever used the word sexting?

The term basically means messages, photos or video footage of a sexual nature which are shared via text or social media.

In Gloucestershire, there have been well publicised cases recently where such footage has ended up online causing a great deal of distress for all concerned.

So it is to be applauded that police and schools are tackling this rather sensitive subject head on.

Yes it is an uncomfortable subject matter but one that needs to be dealt with.

What may start out as a message between two people could easily end up in the wrong hands and lead to bullying or harassment.

Ahead of Safer Internet Day on Tuesday, schools have been working hard to raise this issue but this must be a campaign for 365 days a year going forward.

Anyone who needs advice on this going forward can visit the website www.thinkuknow.co.uk.

IN a galaxy far, far away – well, actually, down the road in Tuffley it seems there is a lone Stormtrooper who could be living life on the dark side with others if he only knew.

Fellow Star Wars fans are reaching out him to ask him to join the Gloucestershire Troopers who wear the full costumes in a bid to raise money for charity.

If they were Jedis of course they could use the force to find him, as it is, if you are the Stormtrooper get in touch on Facebook.

IT is great to see so much investment by Gloucester City Homes.

Residents in Matson and Robinswood were full of praise for the work carried out.

New kitchens, bathrooms and rewiring will make all the difference to their homes.
