City museum set for million pound overhaul
A MILLION pound revamp of the first floor of the City Museum will help bring Gloucester’s rich history back to life.
Although it is not yet clear how it will look, visitors are promised the chance to step back in time and take a look through the ages to see how the city has developed over the centuries.
From Roman fortress, through the industrial age and into the modern day, the refurbishment will provide a full interactive experience for visitors.
The development is being funded with £500,000 from the city council and further investment from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
