Climb cathedral's 269 steps this Saturday
HAVE you ever climbed the 269 steps to the top of Gloucester Cathedral?
There has never been a better chance to do it as the cathedral opens the doors to the tower this Saturday as part of the city's Heritage Open Days events.
Visitors who make the climb to the top of the tower can enjoy stunning views from the roof of the cathedral.
Tour organisers say that on a clear day visitors can see some 40 miles across the Gloucestershire countryside.
