There are also open drop-in sessions for ladies on a Thursday morning which include coaching and opportunities for organised play and coach-led doubles mix-in sessions on Thursday evenings for those with some playing experience who just want to sample the club's facilities.

Corbishley said: "We're aiming to give people a chance to come in at a level they are comfortable with and progress at their own pace.

"Hopefully, they will feel confident to join the club and take advantage of a huge range of playing opportunities including social play, ladders for singles and doubles, league teams and championships."

Information is available from the club on 01242 230562.
