Colin Peake, Gloucester City AFC consultant
What's your favourite Gloucestershire day out?
I always enjoy a trip to the theatre whether that is the Everyman or the Roses. Both are good value for money and worth supporting.
And your favourite place to eat out in the county?
Near to home it is the Royal William at Cranham or Hatton Court Hotel, whilst further afield I am never disappointed with the Fleet at Twyning.

What's the worst job you've ever had?
Never had a job I did not like, although there are always certain aspects to any job which may have its downside. I had many such days in the police service and especially those involving the death of a young child, whatever circumstances they may have arisen from.
Have you got any unusual habits?
My wife Geraldine would say her biggest two complaints are my snoring and having to tell me something twice because I didn't hear first time around.
Who is your hero and why?
Lord Mountbatten, because he called it how it was and feared no one. He died how he lived with no regrets.
What book are you reading at the moment or tell us your favourite?
According to Geraldine, she says I have too many on the go at once and therefore I probably never read one in one go. My all time book is Stephen E Ambrose's mind-blowing personal recollections of those who were part of D-Day and the slaughter of young men on Omaha beach.
What was the last film you watched?
Shrek – all of them, 'cause I am weird that way. It really is escapism of the strangest sort.
First single/record you ever bought?
When I was 15 years old it was a record by Ann Shelton Lay Down Tour Arms. How my taste in music has changed.
