College pays tribute to 'bubbly' newlywed Erica Marshall
“BUBBLY” Erica Marshall, who died last week, has been remembered by her former college.
Former Hartpury College student Erica, 28, died in a freak incident in Florida on Friday when an agitated horse caused a hyperbaric chamber she was monitoring to explode.
The blast killed Erica, the horse and seriously wounded another member of staff.
Now, her former college has paid tribute to Erica.
A Hartpury College spokesman said: “We are saddened to hear about Erica’s death. She came to Hartpury as a Study Abroad equine student from Centenary College, our partner college in America.
“She enjoyed her time at Hartpury so much she returned in September 2006, enrolling on the MSc Equine Science programme.
“She had a bubbly personality, integrated well into college life and was popular with her fellow students. She had an infectious love of horses and it was her passion to work in the equine industry.
“Her tragic death at such a young age is a huge loss and our thoughts are with her husband, Kieran, and all of her family and friends at this very sad time.”
