Comedy show film crew 'spark GCHQ security lock down'
A COMEDY show film crew is believed to have sparked a security lock down at GCHQ yesterday afternoon.
The BBC3 crew was filming outside the spybase at around 1pm just before the alert.
Gloucestershire Police were called to the Benhall doughnut after reports of protesters outside.
Constabulary spokesman Alexa Collicott confirmed officers discovered a television production team.

She said no one was arrested and the incident was left in the hands of the listening post’s own security team.
The cyber spy den is believed to have gone into lock down around the same time.
A spokesman for GCHQ said: “We can confirm there was a brief minor incident today at GCHQ.
“Routine security precautions were taken and residents can be reassured the matter was dealt with quickly and successfully by police.”
No one from the BBC3 was available to comment.
