Committee to discuss parking permit scheme
THE Traffic Regulation Committee of Gloucestershire County Council will convene for a rare meeting to discuss a residents' parking scheme in Cheltenham next week.
The committee will be discussing whether to recommend to the authority that it brings in an initiative to issue residents with permits in the area around Ashford Road in a triangle between Suffolk Road and Shurdington Road where it meets Bath Road.
It will consider a consultation the council made with residents earlier this year which was triggered after a petition 100-signature petition.
In 2011, a majority of residents in the area, which is known as Zone 9 objected to any such possible scheme, while nearby residents in the Suffolks (Zone 8) said most of them were in favour of a permit project which was brought in within a few months.
Gents, come in to Earl's & Co and enjoy a haircut and finish, glass of whisky and a shoeshine for £18.50
