Company hails 'game-changing' spray
CHELTENHAM-BASED firm Premiere Products is helping to launch a spray that could save water companies tens of millions of pounds.
The Freshu product, to be launched in the US and UK, is a germ killing foam from a handy dispenser, which can be used on ordinary tissue paper.
It is an eco-friendly alternative to wet wipes which regularly block pipes and cost ten of millions pounds to clear.
Thames Water says that of 80,000 blockages it deals with annually, as many as three quarters involve wipes.

So concerned is the water company that it has offered a wet wipes amnesty, meaning customers can swap a packet of wet wipes for Freshu.
Speaking to The Times, Nick Sumption, a senior executive at Thames Water, said: "We are recommending it as drain- friendly.
"You use toilet paper in the usual manner."
Last week, Dr Ken Barnes, pictured, group managing director of Premiere Products told the Echo: "This product is a potential game changer for our company."
