Coney Hill stalwart to be remembered at community event
MONEY will be raised in memory of Coney Hill stalwart Mark Saysell by the community this weekend.
A huge event will be held tomorrow as a Coney Hill Vets rugby team play against a North Gloucester Combination Vets team, kicking off at 2pm at the club, in Metz Way.

The match will be the centrepiece of an emotional day organised to remember former player Mark, who died at the age of 55 in August after losing his battle with cancer.
Chris Dee, who is chairman of the junior section at the club, has helped to organise the day which will also feature a bouncy castle, and a charity raffle.

He said: "I played rugby with Mark about 10 years ago, he was a top bloke.
"No-one had a bad word to say about him. He was always cracking a joke, he had a great sense of humour.
"Everyone knew Mark, through the rugby club, him being a builder and his love for rock and roll music – we are expecting a lot of people at the event."
The proceeds from the day will go to cancer research.
"We are hoping to raise around the £4,500 mark," added Chris.
"We have even had some brand new rugby shirts especially made and we are going to auction those off after the game."
There will also be a barbecue, pig roast and disco, which will start straight after the game ends.
Simon Baldwin, from the club, has also helped to organise the day. He said: "Please come along and join in celebrating Mark's life while also helping support the invaluable work carried out by Cancer Research."
Mark's funeral was held at St Oswald's Church and was attended by hundreds of people.
