Consultation about Podsmead's 'eyesore' Jet and Whittle pub site
PLANS to remove an eyesore from Podsmead have taken a step forward.
Residents are rejoicing after developers announced the start of a consultation about 18 new homes to be built on the former Jet and Whittle pub.

Jennie Dallimore, city councillor for Podsmead, said: "It is fantastic news that work will soon be getting under way on the site.
"The derelict pub has been an eyesore for a number of years and this new development will not only enhance the look of the local area but provide the neighbourhood with much needed affordable housing."

Housing group GreenSquare is inviting people to view its plans to build 18 homes on the site.
Kirsty Powell, of GreenSquare, said: "We are aiming to build some very attractive, well-designed homes and are keen to involve residents in the development process."
The company will hold a consultation evening on Monday, November 12 at the Big Local hub in Scott Avenue from 3.30pm to 7pm.
