Contributions flowed in from array of sources
CONTRIBUTIONS to the £1 million total for the scanner appeal included £100,000 from Focus, the hospital oncology fund, and a £50,000 donation from the Cheltenham General Hospital League of Friends.
A huge number of county Rotary and Lions clubs also made donations to the cause.
Several in memoriam donations were received as a celebration of the life of loved ones and in support of the scanner appeal.
Around £2,850 was received in small donations from Gloucestershire individuals in August alone. Companies also selected Cobalt as their charity of the year and donated the proceeds of events such as dress-down days and quiz nights.
