* LYDNEY'S men lost 5-0 at Old Bristolians in North Division One. The second XI, strengthened by the return of several experienced players, overwhelmed Sherborne 9-0 in Hereford & Glos Division One. They were 3-0 up inside 10 minutes and 6-0 up by half-time. Goals were scored by Luke Andrew (4), Martin Saunders, Jeremy Box, Tom Tremlett, Martin Richards and Toby Murray, on debut. Mark Welding and Jeremy Box marshalled a tight defence, while Martin Richards worked tirelessly in midfield. Front pair Luke Andrew and Alex Hooper were joint men of the match.

* LYDNEY Ladies won 6-0 at home to Bude in Premier Division Two. Amy Biddle and Jo Lewis in the centre of midfield provided plenty of great passes to forwards Lauren Thompson and Kate Adams. There are few defenders in Premier Two who can cope with the pace of Adams. Player of the match Amy Biddle opened the scoring from a short-corner, then Grace Lewis followed up to score from another well worked routine. Lydney's next two goals also came from short-corners. Biddle and Lauren Thompson found the back of the boards. In the second-half, Chelsey Turley scored from open play on her first-team debut. Jo Lewis (pictured right) wrapped things up by using her skill to get past several defenders into the D before hitting home.
