Costumes and creepy crawlies at the castle
FRIGHTFUL faces and macabre costumes were on show at one of Gloucestershire's most historic tourist attractions.
Dozens of youngsters enjoyed putting on spooky outfits for a special Halloween-themed day at Sudeley Castle, near Winchcombe.
Children enjoyed having their faces painted and listening to spine-chilling tales about some of the ghouls which inhabit the grounds of the 15th-century building – former home to Henry VIII's sixth wife Katherine Parr.
There were shrieks of delight as youngsters said hello to creepy crawlies brought along by an insect expert.

Kim Gibbon, who works at the castle, said: "It went really well and we have had lots of feedback from children saying they had a very happy time.
"They loved the creepy crawlies and also finding out about the ghosts here at Sudeley Castle.
"It was our last day of being open this year so it was a great way to round off the season."
The venue is set to be closed to the public until next Easter.
