Cotswold Style boss: Masterchef brawl was "out of blue"
COTSWOLD Style's Paul Bates has spoken of his bust-up with Masterchef judge Gregg Wallace.
The fight happened after an argument between three-times-married Wallace, 48, and Bates.
Wallace had been taking part in a question and answer session on Saturday at the four-star Wood Norton Hotel, near Evesham.
Witnesses described seeing the former fruit and veg seller rolling on the floor, fighting with Bates.

Bates, publisher of the magazine, said that the incident had come out of the blue.
“I had my daughter with me for the evening. We had dinner and Gregg was the guest of honour. We adjourned to the bar and I was chatting with his girlfriend,” he said.
“Out of the blue, he just turned on me and pushed me across the room and I fell on a table.
“But later, Gregg gave me an apology and we had a couple of whiskies together. It was something and nothing.”
Around 80 diners paid up to £225 to attend the event, billed as Dinner With Gregg Wallace, which included a five-course meal and champagne reception.
Wallace toured tables as diners scoffed meals of smoked venison, scallops and duck, each accompanied by wine.
Wallace is said to have knocked Bates to the floor and punched him five times before being dragged off.
They crashed into a table, knocking drinks flying.
Guests had to step in to separate the two but they were later seen apologising to one another and sharing a whisky in the bar together.
One of the guests, Alison King, 31, a PR manager, said: "Out of nowhere this guy crashed into our table with Gregg pinning him down. All the drinks smashed. There was glass everywhere.
"Gregg had him by the collar and and was just laying into this poor man.
"Everyone was so shocked to see a fight - and even more shocked to see it was Gregg.
"People on our table had to pull them apart.
Wallace's spokesman said: "I can confirm Gregg was involved in a disagreement at an event last night. The situation was swiftly resolved."
