"A really good day had by all and they would like to come back later this season or early next season. We were delighted to welcome them."

Meanwhile, the Heythrop Hunt has cancelled its meets for at least a week after cases of equine herpes broke out close to the hunt's headquarters in Chipping Norton.

“It's already illegal to trespass on anyone else's land and cause any type of damage, so why would it help to write a letter to the hunt to say that you don't want them on your land? Some land can't be fenced, and I don't see how the hunt can keep their dogs off that land if they don't have control over them (which they clearly don't).”

“if these sadists what to continue their cruel pursuit the dogs should be muzzled to prevent "accidental" harm to other animals.”

    “NrPainswick & InEdge

There's a web site http://tinyurl.com/7tbbnsv with lots of advice about what to do to protect your property & pets from marauding hunts. I don't know who runs the web site but they seem well informed. They have a Facebook page too at https://http://tinyurl.com/bedt9vx - might be worth a browse.”

That's the way is, that's the way it was, and that's the way it will always be.

“"A really good day had by all and they would like to come back later this season or early next season. We were delighted to welcome them."

Really? I guess this quote is not from one of the properties they trespassed onto then - we had a whole pack of out of control dogs all over our garden and fields, no riders in sight until we found them milling about so far away from the dogs that they had absolutely no control over them. We have young children and a lot of domestic animals on our property, why are they allowed to get away with this?”

“If they were following a scented cloth, why did they end up out of control and in our garden?

Absolutely disgusting, "a good day" was certainly not had by all the residents of the land they trespassed on.

Anyone else letting their dogs run wild and uncontrolled across the countryside and private land would be in serious trouble. One rule for them, another for everyone else.”
