MOST employees of Stroud District Council earn around £20,000, a fair pay policy committee report has revealed.

In all, 106 members of staff are on salaries of £19,621 and a further 89 people at Ebley Mill get £23,708 gross, the paperwork shows.

The authority also has five apprentices on £9,581 and a single top earner on £108,609.

The committee is due to discuss the council executive's desire to see all its employees on a living wage.
