ACCLAIMED singer Marty Smith has been lined up for a guest slot at a Forest of Dean country and western club.

The Xerox Country Music Club opens its doors again on Saturday and Kansas City-based Marty will be the headline act.

A spokesman for the club, based at the Xerox Social Club in Mitcheldean, said: "Marty brings a high energy show of old and new favourite numbers including superb tributes to the legendary Marty Robins."

He will be supported by the resident Real Rebel Disco. Doors open at 7pm with a £5 charge.
