Couple tie the knot at 74
GREAT-GRANDMOTHER Mavis Whalley has one tiny problem since she enjoyed the "perfect" wedding day.
She has confessed she keeps forgetting her new name and answers, instead, as her old self – Mavis Smith.

But that aside, the new Mrs Whalley, who is 74, and her 74-year-old Stroud bridegroom Brian had a "super, absolutely perfect" time when they were married in their native Yorkshire 10 days ago.
Mavis said: "We had 65 to the afternoon reception and 97 to the evening do with dancing until midnight. It was fantastic."

The couple tied the knot at the Horton Moravian Church, where Mavis was christened, attended Sunday School, taught on Sundays and sang in the choir.
Nowadays she lives with her husband in Rodborough and they work together at the Volunteer and Community Action Stroud District.
Brian is the unpaid chairman and his new wife helps out on reception and as a voluntary services co-ordinator.
