“Plenty of other drivers on the roads who should be arrested for driving offences, preferably before they are involved in (cause?) an accident. Far too many seem to think the rules of the road don't apply to them, particularly when it comes to using hand-held phones. Seems the threat of 3 points and a £60 fine aren't enough - time to increase the punishments by a large amount, I'd say.
Sadly, a young woman lost her life in Bristol at the weekend when a car ended up in the river - driver found to be drunk, with no licence or insurance (so he shouldn't have been on the road at all). Hope he is set down for a very long time, particularly if he is serving a ban for previous drink-driving.”
