WE have a sport topic for each edition and this week is no different as we take a look at basketball.

Cotswold school basketball A and B teams played an inter-school basketball tournament on January 27.

The winners were Team Three, captained by Ben Collet.

Alex Palmer is the captain of the basketball team with Sam Von Tromp as vice-captain.

We are now hoping we can get a win against Winchcombe after school in a three-way tournament using teams A & B. Wish us luck.

Also coming up on the school calendar, pupils from Years 8, 9, 10 and 11 have headed off to Barbados for a cricket and netball tour.

Staying on the west coast of Barbados, they can't wait to be able to play their favourite sport in the sun.

Ross Temple-Richmond, 12, said before he left: "I can't wait to go, the experience is going to be unbelievable.

"I've never been and everybody who's been says that Barbados is an amazing country."

They also playing smaller activities like five-a-side football and rugby.
