Cyclist who died in Montpellier truck collision named as Robert Chaplin, 56
A CYCLIST who died following a collision with a truck at one of Cheltenham's busiest roundabouts has been named as Robert Chaplin.
The 56-year-old Cheltenham man, who was known as Bob, was knocked down at the junction of Lansdown Road and Montpellier Walk at 4pm on Friday.

He suffered serious injuries and died in Frenchay Hospital some 48 hours later.
It is believed he was unmarried, but had a son and brother.

And Wiggo's accident proves that it can happen to anyone.
We really have to put aside our divisions, cars vs bikes, vans vs cars, cars vs trucks.
I drive a car and a van and cycle, and the potential accidents are ten times more while riding.
Very sad accident, and again, my sincerest condolences to Robert's family.”
