Earlier a superb 33 from allrounder Fin Dixon ensured league
new boys Cam posted a competitive total in their first ever game of indoor
cricket.
But Frocester's experience in the competition told as they
picked up where they finished last season by taking all three points.
Gloucestershire
cricket development manager Steve Silk, who attended the match said: "Indoor
cricket is a big part of our plans to increase the opportunity for playing
cricket throughout the year.
"It was great to see Cam CC entering for the first time and
being extremely competitive against last year's champions.
"From speaking to the players it is clear that they thoroughly
enjoyed the match and I look forward to seeing how the competition unfolds."
The Stroud Indoor League is now in its second season. It
features seven clubs from across the district with each team playing each other
twice. Games are held at Marling School on Friday nights between now and March
1.
