Delays for motorists as ageing water pipes are dug up
WORK to replace water mains means delays for motorists.
Severn Trent is replacing 2.2km of ageing water pipes on the A40, Newent Lane, Byfords Road and Oak Way in Huntley.
Work began at the start of August and is scheduled to be completed in December. Work on the water main running along the A40 will start on Monday, September 24, between Longhope Lane and the King's Head pub near Birdwood.
Project manager Clive Ingram said customers will be notified 48 hours before temporary cuts in supply.
