SUPPORTERS of the Maggie's Cotswolds cancer care centre say they are delighted at receiving an award for the design of the building.

The centre, based at Cheltenham General Hospital, was recognised with an Award honour by Cheltenham Civic Society in the new build category. Judges were impressed with the use of oak and the amount of natural light received by the tranquil building, which was designed by Sir Richard MacCormac.

Fundraising manager Lisa Robinson said it was a fabulous reward for all its supporters.
