Disillusioned journalist Amy Turner, 29, took own life
JOURNALIST Amy Turner took her own life after suffering from depression.
The inquest of the 29-year-old, who grew up in Avening, heard how she hanged herself while drunk.

Amy, a feature writer on The Sunday Times, was four times over the drink-drive limit when she took her own life at home in West London.
The coroner Dr Fiona Wilcox said her death showed the "appalling effects" of alcohol, as she would not have taken her life had she not been drunk.

Her boyfriend Patrick Llewellyn said she had suffered from depression.
He said she had been "frustrated and disillusioned" with the world of journalism for some time, particularly after the phone-hacking scandal.

Dr Wilcox recorded a narrative verdict, saying that Amy would still be alive if she had not drunk so much.
Amy attended Rendcombe College and Sir William Romney School.
She had always wanted to be a journalist and studied English at Exeter University and gained a 1st Class Honours Degree in English Literature.
She had been recognised as one of the most talented young journalists with two nominations from the British Press Awards.
This year she had been shortlisted for Feature Writer of the Year.
