"It has become something of a landmark in Cheltenham and it was such a strong brand to be in the town."
The closure of the shop will mean the loss of 15 jobs and unsold stock will be sent to Disney's store in Bristol.
Mr Acland said: "We have been talking to a few new tenants about taking up the store.
"There are a number of people who are interested in it because it is such a good location.
"It is an important part of the shopping centre, and we want somebody significant because it is a prominent location. We are keen to get it filled as soon as possible."
