Donations Needed for Local Charity Lydney Dial-A-Ride!
Local transport charity Lydney Dial-A-Ride are urgently seeking donations of clothing, toys and other brick-a-brac items for their charity shops in Lydney, Coleford and Cinderford. The vital donations given by generous members of the public help to support the charity and fund the buses .. helping to keep those who are in most need connected!
The 3 charity shops gratefully welcome donations and are in need of more stock to keep them running. If you could donate any items to either of the shops, you will be helping to keep the valuable service running for local residents in and around the Forest.
Sarah Dovey of Lydney Dial-A-Ride noted,

When having a clear out, and especially at this time of year when families are making way for new Christmas goodies, we are urging people to donate whatever they can so that others can enjoy their unwanted items. Lydney Dial-A-Ride operate a fleet of wheelchair accessible minibuses, helping to get those without access to transport out and about to shops, appointments, hairdressers and other social occasions on a day to day basis.
When donating, the charity also encourages people to Gift Aid their donation, meaning that they can claim an extra 25p for every £1 they sell. This provides a bonus on top of the donation that the charity can claim back, making their donation go that extra bit further!
