Donnington prepares for arrival of Liz Hurley and Shane Warne
THE tiny hamlet of Donnington is preparing itself for the arrival of Liz Hurley and her fiancee Shane Warne.
The village's population of 50 is about to be joined by the celebrity couple who've bought the £6million Donnington Hall, in the Gloucester Diocese just north of Redmarley.
Families from among the predominantly agricultural community were together on Sunday morning at St Mary's Church in Donnington, to welcome another newcomer Alice Pratley, aged just four months.
After Alice's christening her mum Emma said she'd heard model Liz, 47, and retired cricketer Shane, 43, had bought the nearby mansion but hadn't seen them.

She and her husband Simon farm close to Grade II listed Donnington Hall with its 187-acre grounds.
Tenants at both Brick Lodge and Lower Lodge, on either side of an entrance drive to Donnington Hall, said they didn't think the star couple and their respective children had yet moved in.
But churchwarden Christina Belloc Lowndes said she wished them well.
"We hope they will be very happy here," Mrs Belloc Lowndes said.
Donnington Hall itself, which lies just three miles south of Ledbury, has 13 bedrooms, five bathrooms, and accommodation for a housekeeper and nanny.
Its opulent reception hall leads to four reception rooms.
It was bought in 1992 by the owners, from whom multi-millionairess Liz and Shane purchased it.
