Double award nomination for Twiston-Davies
SAM Twiston-Davies has been nominated for two top awards at racing's version of the Oscars – the Lesters.
Twiston-Davies is in the running for the Conditional Jockey of the Year Award and the Jump Ride of the Year Award for his performance aboard Zimbabwe, when he won despite a broken stirrup.
Two of Jonjo O'Neill's jockeys have also been shortlisted for awards at the Lesters.
Richie McLernon has been nominated for the Conditional Jockey of the Year Award and Maurice Linehan's win aboard Tarvini at Huntingdon has given him a chance of winning the Jump Ride of the Year Award.
Timmy Murphy, who lives near Northleach, has been nominated for the Jump Ride of the Year Award for his win aboard Poker De Sivola at Sandown.
Jason Maguire, who lives in Stroud, and Tewkesbury-based Aidan Coleman are among four nominations for the Jump Jockey of the Year, along with Richard Johnson and AP McCoy.
The winners will be announced on April 5.
