Drivers escape lorry crash uninjured

DRIVERS involved in a collision with a lorry in Birdlip last

night were lucky to walk away from the incident uninjured.

Fire crews responded to the scene after reports of people

trapped in the two cars and a lorry, with fire breaking out in one of the vehicles on the A436.

On arrival, emergency services discovered two males and a

female had been released from the wreckage and escaped serious injury. The

reports of a fire also turned out to incorrect.

Seventeen firefighters attended to make the scene safe and

disconnect the vehicle batteries. They left around 45 minutes later, just after

7pm.
