FOUR different views of the historic Silk Road trading route through Asia make up a new exhibition in Cheltenham this month.

The prints will be on show at the Parabola Arts Centre as part of the Impress 13 International Printmaking Festival.

The exhibition explores the route from Western Europe to the Steppes and on to China, where not only commodities were exchanged, but also philosophies and religions.

Artists with work in the exhibition include Martyn Grimmer, with his photo-etched prints of his Silk Road travels through the Georgian Republic and Tricia Torrington and Sue Drennen's impressions of China.
