Eco bags to help children
TOWN councillors in Coleford are setting the standard for biodegradable bags across the country.
On September 1 at The Clock Tower in Coleford, they took to the streets to ask people to buy a bag for 5p.

So far £20 has been collected and all donations will be going to the children's opportunity centre in Coleford.
Annie Lapington, from the council, said: "We would do it again to try to encourage other towns to do the same, last year we used eight billion bags in England."

The Co-op shop already uses biodegradable bags and Adam Scott, the fruit and veg shop have now adopted the new regime.
