Edwards finds a way through to earn Gotherington a victory

GOTHERINGTON took the game to Cleeve, but poor finishing and brave goalkeeping from the Cleeve keeper, kept the match scoreless until a minute before half time.
It was then that Cleeve scored from a swift counter attack against the run of play.
Gotherington continued to bombard the Cleeve goalmouth and their pressure paid off when a corner from Harry Minshull was turned in by roving left back Finley Donnelly. Gotherington pressed hard for the winner and eventually it was Alex Edwards who prodded the ball home.
